Aladdin the Musical: Join us on a magic carpet ride!

The Sunway Lagoon folks are putting together another musical, this time one to do with magic lamps, genies and magic carpets.
Yep, they're staging the much-loved tale of Aladdin and as with their two previous musicals, they're giving AMBP members, and bloggers in general, a chance to watch it for free.
The premiere is scheduled for November 25, and if you want to try to get your hands on a couple of free passes, just, well, show your interest. The more enthusiastic you are about this event, and the more you show it on your blog, the more likely you'll end up winning yourself some tix.
Note that we've only got a limited amount of passes to give away, so do hurry.
Prior to the premiere, we're giving some of you a chance to see how it's like to prepare for a musical production by providing you access to the cast and crew, where you get to meet & greet, and interview them. Note that if you are selected for this, you are guaranteed a seat for the Grand Premiere. This will take place on November 19.

Music CD Giveaway: Nevermind (20th Anniversary Edition) - Nirvana

Now here's one album that I'd definitely want to win if I were a participant of this contest. But since I'm sitting on this side of the fence, I'd just have to be contented with my copy of the original non-20th anniversary version of the album. Poor me.
But seriously, you must get your hands on this one, simply because, one, it's Nirvana, and two, it's Nevermind, the band's most successful record, the very one that was credited for bringing alternative rock to a large mainstream audience.
Yes, this is one of the most influential rock albums of all time. Apart from that, it is, plain and simple, a kick-ass piece of work.
So if you're still in your Justin Bieber phase (perfectly OK so this is by no means a slight to your music sensibilities), try to win this one for the future, for when you pass that phase. Trust me, that day will come and you'll thank me later. It could take 20 years, but it will come. ;)
If you've already imbibed the power that comes with listening to Nirvana's Nevermind, then, well, you don't need me to tell you how life changing it could be. Heh. I'm sure you can tell this is personal, and I could go on, but well, nevermind.

Music CD Giveaway: Top of the Summer Charts 2011

Well, the year has been whizzing along, and I must admit, it has, thus far, been great fun. What with the changes that have taken place here in the office - more responsibilities, more projects, more work.
But, again, while there's more to do, it has generally been more exciting/fun.
The only downside to that is I have had to mothball AMBP. Still, I've tried to at least do the once-a-month thing, usually with a simple contest, so that you have something to keep you busy as far as AMBP is concerned.
So, where are we then?
Oh yea, this month's Music CD Giveaway. We have a compilation album called Power Hits - Top of the Summer Charts 2011, which really begs the question: do they have a Winter/Autumn/Spring Charts?

Music CD Giveaway: Best of the Best 2011 Contest

Universal Music, who has been the kind sponsors of our regular Music CD Giveaway series, is running a campaign called 'Best of Best 2011', offering consumers up to 30% discount for a wide selection of their CDs.
Basically what this means is, up till Aug 31, you'll only have to pay RM29.90 for Single Disc CDs, and RM39.90 for Double-Disc CDs.

But you know what's even more cool? You have a chance, right here, to win two CDs of your choice from the seven listed below:
